Brief
Mirna Wael Omar Lotfy, M.Sc. is a Teaching Assistant in the Architectural Department at Ain Shams University, Egypt, since 2020. She holds a Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering (2023) and a Bachelor’s in the same field (2018) from Ain Shams University. Her teaching portfolio spans architectural design studios, construction technology, sustainability, and architectural representation. She is an active member of the Evolution Network Society team, supporting student wellbeing and professional development initiatives.
She currently serves in the Secretariat of the Supreme Council of Universities’ Technical Office for Innovation and Strategic Planning (2024–present). Previously, she participated in the National Urban Landscape Competition for the New Capital Squares, hosted by the National Organization of Urban Harmony under the Ministry of Culture, winning an Incentive Award (2018), and contributed to architectural and urban design projects.
Her conference roles include organizing committee member for the International Conference on Energy Systems – Smart & Sustainable Solutions, Cairo (2024–2025), International Conference on Smart Cities, Cairo (ICSC 2023), and the International Conference ‘ARUP 2018: Smart Outlook, Cairo (2018). She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at Ain Shams University, with research published in the Ain Shams Engineering Journal on academic libraries as informal learning spaces in architectural education (2022).
