نبذة مختصرة

My research lies at the intersection of mechatronic system design, rehabilitation robotics, intelligent control, and biomechanics. I am interested in how carefully engineered hardware, real-time sensing, and adaptive software can work together to restore or enhance human movement. Drawing on experience with robotics, machine learning, and human-in-the-loop experimentation, I focus on solutions that translate laboratory advances into practical tools for clinicians and end-users.

My current project applies these principles to shoulder-exercise rehabilitation. I integrate wireless surface electromyography (EMG) and 3-D motion capture with Virtual Reality (VR) and Mixed Reality (MR) headsets to deliver interactive, muscle-specific biofeedback in real time. Healthy adults perform a series of standardized shoulder exercises under three conditions: VR feedback, MR feedback, or conventional exercise without immersive technology. By combining objective measures of muscle activation and kinematics with subjective assessments of perceived effort, usability, and user experience, I examine how different feedback modalities influence movement quality, engagement, and learning.

Ultimately, I aim to advance biomechatronics by creating user-adaptive rehabilitation systems that are both scientifically rigorous and clinically relevant. Through this work I hope to provide therapists and patients with immersive, data-driven tools that make rehabilitation more effective, motivating, and personalized.
