For 15 years, Dr. Ismail Amer has accumulated both academic and professional experience in the field of structural engineering. Academically, he has taught several specialized courses to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, supervised many graduation projects, and supervised master's and doctoral students. Additionally, he has published many papers in various international scientific journals such as Journal of Materials in Civil Engineering, Scientific Reports, International Journal of Concrete Structures and Materials and Innovative Infrastructure Solutions. Dr. Amer has also reviewed several papers for journals affiliated with renowned publishers such as ASCE, ScienceDirect, and Wiley. Professionally, he has been involved in a wide range of special structures, including tunnels, bridges, high-rise buildings, towers, hotels, parking structures, swimming pools, and tanks. His experience extends to several construction projects, including residential, healthcare, educational, governmental, and commercial buildings. He also has extensive expertise in the repair and strengthening of structures, encompassing inspection and assessment, design, and implementation. Furthermore, he has contributed to several technical reports related to the testing of materials, calibration of devices, and assessment of structures, which include visual inspections, detailed inspections, monitoring using advanced sensors and gauges, load rating, and loading tests for buildings and bridges according to ACI codes and committees, ASTM specifications, and AASHTO standards.
